- Two things’ people take on compensating strategies
- Number one people pleasing and passivity in an attempt to be liked
- It’s to be a high performer and take on this performer persona
- It works in creating their initial success
- In my case, it ultimately leads to a lack of fulfillment
- It’s because it’s not who they genuinely are underneath
- At the end of the day these are compensating strategies people are leveraging
- It’s an attempt to avoid pain
- Who we become is this amalgamation of genuine traits and characteristics

- I experienced quite a bit of success in corporate
- And yet I found myself fundamentally unhappy
- I never had an issue with attracting romantic partners
- Yet something internally was missing
- I’d say to my clients that the pattern always reveals so
- Self-sabotage is another way of saying self-protecting
[21.43] Patterns
- First of all, we look at the mountain, that’s our life.
- Our entire goal is to conquer it and overcome it
- Our entire pursuit is for power, possession, and prestige
- Possession is financial abundance
- Prestigious is typically image and status
- Power is influence
- When we’re kids, we need to develop a healthy ego structure
- Confidence: I can do it and I what it takes
- Most of us get locked in this phase of development
[25.00] Soul
- In first half of life, we’re primarily concerned with answering what do I want
- In second half of life, the primary question is what I can contribute
- Transformation is so much more about UNBECOMING
- It’s not about getting somewhere; it’s about returning to who we truly are.
- That requires PAIN
- That’s what deconstruction is all about
- Pain is the fundamental part of the deconstruction process
- Until You make the unconscious conscious – it’ll direct your life
- You call it fate

- Reconstruction without deconstruction will always be incomplete
- Deconstruction without reconstruction is mental masturbation
- We have to go on a further journey
- That becomes bigger than Who We Are
- It naturally evolves into serving others
- Reconstruction is all about coming home back to authentic self
- Where we have nothing to prove & protect

- All of us have threshold when it comes to amount of JOY
- Until we heal, we can’t expand that threshold
- We can’t move beyond our present limitations
- Everyone wants to get to heaven, but nobody wants to die
- Everyone wants the resurrection, but nobody wants the crucifixion
- The way up is the way down
- Number one goal of ego is to maintain status quo
- The best way for it do that is to hide the truth from you
- Which why the pain stops when the truth starts
- Pain is inherent part of growth
- Suffering is the way through
- No man can escape influence

- Fifty percent of it is genetics what we inherit from our parents
- Forty percent is attitude
- Ten percent is the environment
- Yes the environment plays a huge role
